Job Description




Duties and Responsibilities
• Inspect production in assigned area(s), as much as three times per shift, ensuring potentially defective product is discovered and corrected
• Use a variety of quality inspection tools including vernier calipers, micrometers, height gauges, hardness testing, and other lab equipment
• Enter quality data in computer programs for Non-Conforming Material Reports (NCMR’s) daily
• Be available to machine operators and assemblers for consult
• Make minor and timely decisions regarding quality and adjustments, seeking management and technicians for larger decisions
• Relay pertinent quality adjustments and information to management and technicians to ensure consistency
• May perform additional auditing projects and assist with rework and incoming frame stock
• Consciously abide by all safety policies and procedures to create a safe working environment for all employees
• Other duties and projects determined by production and business needs

Education and Experience
• High School or GED diploma required
• Six (6) months – One (1) year of previous assembly/manufacturing experience required
• Tremendous attention to detail required
• Problem solving abilities, interpersonal skills, and the ability to manage interrupts are required
• Basic understanding of metrology preferred
• Excellent oral and written communication skills required
• Ability to work independently, and as a part of a team, required
• Ability to read and understand work instructions
