Job Description

The WMS Training Specialist is responsible for the delivery of training to end users and to assist in the development or updating of courseware for the Milwaukee Tool WMS systems. This position carries significant responsibility for the overall training of classroom and floor based sessions for WMS systems. Training new employees, especially managers and leaders, is an important role that lends to the success of all employees. This position impacts all of Milwaukee Tool and its entities and requires understanding how to use the numerous WMS systems within Milwaukee Tool and how they will influence job performance and job satisfaction.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participate in the planning and development of new course materials and maintaining or updating existing course materials due to process changes or system enhancements
  • Assist in reviewing and analyzing training using knowledge of the effectiveness of methods such as classroom training, demonstrations, online job aids and on demand presentations to better utilize the technology available for reaching a large workforce
  • Aptitude to quickly learn new tools/technology
  • Become an end user subject matter expert to provide structured onsite classroom training for small or large groups and ensure a positive impact to employees
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of training and course design by continually providing evaluations at the end of each training session
  • Properly maintain all training records through the Milwaukee Tool LMS system.
  • Knowledge in instructional design concepts and principals to assist in the development of instructor guides, student manuals, job aids, and videos
  • Participate on implementation project teams, ensuring training tasks are executed successfully throughout the project cycle and the ability to share knowledge and work in a strong team-oriented environment
  • Develop and instruct highly professional training sessions
  • Evaluate the overall effectiveness of the training events based on attendees' feedback

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or related field or equivalent work experience 4 Years' Experience:
  • Proven work experience as a Trainer/ Instructor
  • Experience with adult learning principles, methodologies, and course design techniques
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple entities to understand unique training needs
  • Ability to build solid cross-functional relationships
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to plan, multi-task and manage time effectively
  • Equivalent experience may be substituted for degree requirement
