Job Description

The Maintenance Technician 2 is responsible for performing maintenance services and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, plastering, machine servicing, electrical and PLC.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot and correct setups, tooling and minor malfunctions
  • Operate personnel lifts
  • Perform all repairs and adaptions of equipment, such as; changing air, grease and coolant lines, switches, belts, guards
  • Fabricate miscellaneous items out of wood, metal and Plexiglas
  • Build or fabricate labels, devices, etc. to improve quality and production
  • Use hand and power tools
  • Move equipment
  • Plumbing, welding, construction of metal/wood, brazing, soldering
  • Manage maintenance supplies and maintain supply inventory
  • Order spare parts and supplies and rebuild machines as required
  • All non-routine and electronic machine maintenance and upkeep machines as required
  • Read and troubleshoot PLC and Ladder Logic
  • Replace electrical motors and components
  • Wire machines
  • Install new equipment
  • Advanced PLC maintenance
  • Write PLC Ladder Logic
  • Design components and fabricate
  • Design and install guarding
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic boards and replace digital and analog CNC drives
  • Basic Robotics
  • Train team members
  • Adhere to all safety requirements
  • Practice 5Ss

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions, as well as drawings and blueprints
  • Certified fork lift operator
  • Welding
  • Industrial electricity/wiring

Education and Experience Requirements

  • 40 semester hours of industrial Trade Training or 5 years general maintenance experience
  • Qualified electrician and basic electronics
  • Qualified Motor Control
  • Qualified PLC
  • Qualified basic Robotics
