Job Description

The Training Systems Manager is responsible managing, maintaining and extending all functional aspects of each learning and analytical system. The systems' manager must be able to perform detailed, analytical and technical tasks simultaneously and be proficient in how these systems and analytical tools intersect with other functionality across the organization.

  • Manage all activities within training systems
  • Serve as primary systems management resource
  • Maintain content policies, naming conventions and standards for course and configuration management
  • Develop and maintain process control for system processes
  • Identify methods to improve productivity and growth with the use of each system while translating these methods for enhancements and implementation
  • Identify future strategic development opportunities for the systems as well as organizational needs and requirements for new solutions
  • Lead local administrators to self-sufficiency for their level(s) of responsibility
  • Consult and support discussions with Human Resources and Information Technology departments as they relate to systems integration of people management
  • Maintain vendor relationships related to technical issues, platform upgrades and functional improvements
  • Work with vendors to implement enhancements and system updates/upgrades; as well as, extending the product platform to include new functionality
  • Disentangle the complexity of systems' software, methodically testing to isolate an issue, and helping vendor software developers understand the business impact with suggestions for an appropriate fix
  • Manage overall support responsibilities which include case management and resolution following escalation protocol
  • Leverage LMS, CMS and analytical skills and expertise for creating new processes, problem solving, innovation and implementation of strategic projects and tasks, working with training and other departments as needed.
  • Identify future strategic development opportunities for the systems as well as organizational needs and requirements for new solutions
  • Create, revise, and maintain training course materials (guides, handouts, visual aids, etc.) aligned to the organizations use of the systems
  • Design and lead in-person and remote training sessions as needed
  • Design and program reporting related to LMS and mobile app training activities for distribution to stakeholders
  • Generate and interpret system reports, generalize findings, and make recommendations for process and utilization improvements
  • Translate reporting data into meaningful analytical messaging
  • Assist with administration of licensing and chargebacks
  • Effectively communicate, strategize, and collaborate across departments and with stakeholders while building strong relationships and fostering a cohesive team environment.
  • Champion systems technoloty becoming the ultimate source of product knowledge, especially when it comes to newly developed features and functionality
