Vial Assembly Technician
The Empire Level -- Division of Milwaukee Tool has unique opportunity for an Assembly Technician at our Mukwonago Manufacturing facility. This position leads the assembly and manufacturing of level vial production on our 2nd Shift. 2nd shift hours are Monday - Friday, 3p-11p.
This is a fast-paced position with responsibility for high volume production plus an opportunity to work on high tolerance, precision equipment supporting the manufacturing of world class tools.
Duties and Responsibilities of this individual include:
- Set-up, operate, and maintain and improve upon vial assembly equipment as needed to support operations and increase efficiency
- Set up of precision production equipment including Fluid Metering Pumps, Ultrasonic Welders, Hot Stamping machines and Vision Inspection Systems
- Documentation of production, maintenance, QC audits and scrap performed
- Complete 1st piece inspection at fillers, vision and markers prior to release for production
- Qualifying product though measuring systems such as Optical Comparators, LASER Mics, depth gauges, and Vision Measuring equipment
- Make professional and lasting modifications and repairs to existing equipment
- Organize documentation of files and drawings. Record revisions per company standards
- Responsible for cosmetic criteria as specified and communicating criteria to employees
- Work with QC and Engineering to establish or modify work Instructions
- Must be able to effectively train and mentor operators and Set-up personnel
- Relay pertinent product and quality-related information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors, and peers, in both written and verbal forms. Maintain Shift Log and Inspection sheets.
- Establish methods for organizing and maintaining the order and cleanliness of equipment, storage areas and the department as a whole
- Other duties and projects as determined by production and business needs
Experience and Knowledge Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Certified experience in machine repair, PLC programming, automation or other proven technical training strongly desired
- Strong mechanical aptitude and diagnostic skills
- Ability to manage interruptions in a professional and respectful manner is essential
- Above basic math skills and reasoning ability
- Adequate computer and Microsoft Office skills
- Certified experience in machine repair, PLC programming, automation or other proven technical training
- Quality awareness and use of gaging tools
