Job Description

The Supervisor is responsible for all areas of manufacturing; leading production teams to ensure timely execution of production schedules while meeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals, mentoring and developing the staff, knowing, implementing, and ensuring all policies and procedures are met. This position will also continuous improvement projects as required.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for leading and coordinating manufacturing teams to meet production schedules while meeting required safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives
  • Orient, train/develop, motivate, counsel and assist team members in work instructions, production standards, and the balanced flow of work as well as problem resolution
  • Constant evaluation of manufacturing processes to ensure maximum efficiency and submittal of continuous improvement opportunities
  • Perform all related supervisory and human resource functions (work assignments, attendance documentation, incident reports, performance counseling, etc.)
  • Ensure the department provides accurate, prompt deliveries to internal and external customers
  • Assist in production scheduling/planning, quality, material flow and staffing recommendations
  • Audit quality and safety reports and processes to determine root cause and ensures corrective actions are implemented and maintained to meet standards
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the team environment
  • Assign work and special projects to team members to develop work experience and flexibility
  • Requisition resources (supplies, tools, etc.) and expedite as required
  • Act as backup for all team members
  • Contribute to team effort by performing related tasks as needed to assist in overall goals

Education and Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and minimum of five (5) years' experience and/or equivalent experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred
  • Working knowledge in MS Office
  • Ability to understand and use work planning skills
  • Ability to skillfully navigate in WMS and ERP systems
  • Strong organizational skills and stellar attention to detail are essential
  • Solid communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
