Imperial Blades was acquired by Milwaukee Tool in October of 2018.

Purpose of the Position:

Using sales presentations, product knowledge and communications skills, the Business Development Representative (BDR) will generate sales in a specific territory within the Imperial Blades customer base. The goal of the BDR will be to communicate, primarily virtually, with customers and prospects to identify their needs that Imperial Blades' solutions can meet. The Business Development Representative will sell from a small menu, made up mostly of discounted displays and promotional items to meet monthly, quarterly and annual goals.

 

 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and close leads from within Imperial's wholesale and buying group customer lists
  • Communicate with leads and customers virtually; primarily through phone and email correspondence
  • Grow existing strategic accounts through cross-selling and upselling initiatives
    • Periodic travel to trade shows and end-user events
    • Ability to see multi-step sales process through to completion
  • Use existing and recommend new brand marketing material to get customers and prospects attention
  • Work closely with team of manufacturers' reps and regional managers in the assigned territory
  • Attain quarterly sales goals
  • Update customer information in CRM
  • Understand and communicate the value proposition and competitive advantages of Imperial's product lines

Education and/or Experience:

    • Minimum of Bachelor's Degree or equivalent years of sales related experience
    • Demonstrated track record of success
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Outlook, Word, Excel
    • Experience in the hardware, tool or tool accessory industry preferred
    • Experience working with an CRM/ERP system, specifically NetSuite preferred
    • Understanding of the Pareto principle (80/20) and philosophy of how to apply this to business priorities is also preferred
