The IT Analyst - Data Engineer CDP (Customer Data Platform) will drive technical requirements, design, and delivery planning, working across engineering teams and stakeholders to ensure successful launch of data integration initiatives for your aligned business areas. This person will be the knowledge 'expert' for all things Tealium Audience stream. Meaning they will understand all the data flows in and out of the solution, what criteria define successful operation of the CDP, and how the CDP can be extended to facilitate additional requirements. You will have the right mix of technical acumen, business analysis, and project management skills to successfully deliver complex cross-functional projects in Milwaukee Tool's fast-paced environment.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Experience working with tools that perform marketing profile data merging & stitching (DMP, CDPs, etc)
  • Experience working in technically demanding environments that involve data transformations and integrations using REST APIs.
  • Excellent business analytical skills to drive business requirement definition that involves eliciting, analyzing, prioritizing, articulating and documenting business requirements.
  • Ability to structure a large amount of information into business process and workflow maps, data analysis, business use cases and user stories.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills across functional audiences.
  • The typical year will have the following kinds of Tealium-specific activities:
    • New first-party data integration projects that use AS to send / receive data updates for all other first-party assets.
    • New third-party data inputs and outputs that can be leveraged for additional audience enrichment & downstream audience activation.
    • Any break-fix issues as assets & technologies mature and change over time.
    • Training & Best Practices adoption, Vendor management, etc.
  • For each item above, this is what the role will "do":
    • New first-party data integrations and third-party inputs & outputs:
      • You will gather requirements from the business team to understand exactly how the new data will integrate into Audience Stream: Key fields that govern visitor stitching. Update priorities of the marketing profile that will be maintained in Tealium.
      • You will coordinate with the vendor on best practices required for this integration.
      • You will document the integration,
      • You will work with other technical team members to perform the work to implement the integration.
      • You will work with testing & QA team members to verify and regression the entire CDP first-party setup.
    • You will manage any break fix issues as assets mature and change.
    • You will serve as the main owner of any issues that emerge with the Tealium AS system
    • You will create the process and own a QA Audit that should be performed quarterly to semi-annually to make certain all data flows are operating as expected.
    • You will drive Training & Best Practices Adoption, working with and managing the vendor, understanding changes that might impact the systems and planning the right remediations, and helping to educate internal team members how to use the solution better.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in business analysis, and project management, product management and ownership, and working with technical teams and business stakeholders.
  • Comfortable operating and delivering in various SDLC methodologies (waterfall, agile).
  • Experience in working with Sales and Marketing organizations and stakeholders, as it relates to data analytics and CDPs.
  • Results oriented collaborative team player with a keen ability to demystify and streamline processes
  • Experience in manufacturing industry is ideal, but not required.
  • Strong business partner who is able to quickly learn business processes and provide strategic insight and guidance.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working directly in data integration projects between large enterprise technologies, with a strong emphasis in building stable, enterprise-ready integrations.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Experience with key technologies such as:
    1. Microsoft Dynamics CRM
    2. MuleSoft
    3. Sitecore
    4. Marketo
    5. Tealium, or other CDPs. and other cloud-based solutions or digital marketing solutions.
  • Strong evidence of product and technical thinking and experience executing in a fast-paced cross functional environment.
  • Results oriented with hands on approach.
