Job Description

The Senior Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing maintenance services and repairs in the areas of plumbing, carpentry, plastering, machine servicing, and electrical.


Duties and Responsibilities

  • Operate the Hylift
  • Perform all repairs and adaptions of equipment, such as; changing air, grease and coolant lines, switches, belts, guards
  • Fabricate miscellaneous items out of wood, metal and Plexiglas
  • Build or fabricate Workstations, devices, etc. to improve quality and production
  • Use hand and power tools
  • General Rigging- (Equipment moving)
    • Moving equipment into place
    • Leveling Equipment
    • Running power and air
    • Preforming function test of the machine
    • Include Quality to requalify machine
  • Plumbing, welding, construction of metal/wood, brazing, soldering
  • Stock maintenance supplies and maintain supply inventory
  • Order spare parts and supplies and rebuild machines as required
  • All non-routine and electronic machine maintenance and upkeep machines as required
  • Troubleshoot and repair/replace electrical motors and components
  • Wire fabricated equipment to meet specification and per NFPA and other applicable standards.
  • Install new equipment
    • Moving equipment into place
    • Leveling Equipment
    • Running power and air
    • Preforming function test of the machine
  • Build, wire, and label control panels
  • Advanced PLC maintenance
    • Read and troubleshoot PLC and Ladder Logic
    • Write basic programs
    • Install and wire PLC's
  • Design and fabricate components
  • Design and install guarding
  • Troubleshoot and repair electronic boards
  • Isolate and replace digital and analog CNC drives
  • Robotics
    • Manually Jogging the robots
    • Replacing the encoder or motor and remastering the robot
    • Touching up robot programs
    • Teaching robot programs
  • Train team members
  • Adhere to all safety requirements and drive safety improvements through improved machine design and controls.
  • Practice 5S


Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions
  • Certified fork lift operator
  • Industrial electricity/wiring
  • Schematics (Electrical, hydraulic etc.)
  • Advanced PLC Logic
  • Robotics
